A Letter to Our Client Family - November 2015

(From November 2015 Cain &Cain Newsletter)

Dear Clients and Friends,
On June 1st, we gave a big Cain & Cain welcome to our new Client Services Coordinator, Shelly Stewart. Shelly spent several weeks learning alongside Alana. We know Alana was a great teacher because Shelly handled our 2015 Client Update Program like a champion! On July 1st, Alana gave birth to Olivia, a beautiful baby girl. With two young children, Alana continues to help the firm on special projects like this newsletter!
In August, Marty, Stephen (our older son who lives in Woodward, Oklahoma) and I traveled to Washington, D.C. to visit Brooks (our younger son who is a Senior at Vanderbilt University), where he interned for Tennessee Congressman Jim Cooper. It was a wonderful experience for Brooks and gave him a much greater understanding of our government and democracy.
Then it was back to school! We Normanites always recognize this time by the 20,000+ students who converge on our community! In September, Marty, Mitch and I went "back to school"! We attended the Fall Collegium of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys in Orlando. We learned techniques to better preserve our clients' wealth through Proactive Elder Law Planning. We are excited to make these proactive services available to our clients that can benefit from this type of planning. Look forward to a special educational event to learn more about this exciting area of the law.
In addition to learning from the law books, we learn so much from our colleagues across the nation. Traveling to Orlando gave Marty and I the opportunity to visit one of our fellow NNEPA members and friends, John Bennett in Valdosta, Georgia. We visited his office and enjoyed learning more about his practice, his process, his team, and his clients. As usual, we came home with many ideas for Cain & Cain to ensure that your estate plan really works!
Marty and I are so excited to offer a Memoir writing workshop to you and your family. Read more about the workshop on page 2 of this newsletter! Judy is an excellent instructor. Moreo-ver, she is a warm and thoughtful person. If interest is high, we hope that the workshop will be a recurring event. Remember your stories and your wisdom are one of the most valuable treasures you have to pass to your loved ones and beneficiaries.
