Education for Current Clients
A large part of our approach to estate planning centers around education. We believe that our clients should have the opportunity to make informed decisions as they create and maintain their estate plans. It is also important to us that "Helpers" are well informed as well. We encourage our clients and their "Helpers" to use our Client Login feature often to have access to our latest materials and information about upcoming events.
Estate Planners for Life™ Member Events
We have made commitments to each of our clients that we will help them create and maintain an estate plan that really works. It is necessary for us to provide and for our clients to participate in the special Estate Planners for Life™ events in order to achieve that goal together. Below is a list of the events we hold each year for our Members, and a brief description.
- Annual Client Meetings
Annual Client Meetings are held once a year to provide clients with a status of the law as well as the firm. We encourage all of our clients to attend an Annual Client Meeting each year to learn about new developments in estate planning laws, and how they can impact their current plans. This is also an opportunity for us to learn about changes in our clients lives that may also need to be taken into consideration while maintaining and updating estate plans.
- Client Update Program Meetings
All of our clients’ estate plans are updated every other year to address our clients’ changing needs and goals. This formal review process is also instrumental in keeping the plan current with the latest laws and estate planning techniques.
- Back to Basics
Prior to our Client Update Program meetings we provide this "refresher course". This meeting helps prepare our clients to take full advantage of our maintenance program.
- Estate Planners for Life Program™ Orientation Meeting
The Estate Planners for Life™ Program is a professional relationship in which we mutually commit to developing, maintaining, and carrying out a plan that will accomplish all of your estate planning goals. The Member Orientation Meeting is where the entire Estate Planners for Life™ Program is explained in detail. In Step One of our relationship, you chose to develop your plan with counseling-oriented planning partners. As a result, we created multiple custom legal documents designed to accomplish your estate planning goals. You are now at the point where we need to efficiently and effectively transition you, and more importantly your family members and helpers, into Step Two of our relationship.
In Step Two of the Three Step Strategy™, you committed yourself and your family to a formal and continuous maintenance and education program. This Meeting is designed so that our new and existing clients, their family members, trustees, health care agents, and helpers can see the big picture of HOW WE WORK TOGETHER in the years to come to create and maintain estate plans that work! You will attend this meeting early in our relationship while you are already highly focused on getting even more education and understanding of how your plan is designed to work. More importantly, we want to educate and integrate your family members and helpers into the Program early in our relationship when they are more likely to be energized and participate.
Family Education Program
The Family Education Program is an opportunity for family members, beneficiaries, and "Helpers" to learn about the basics of estate planning as well as our process for creating estate plans that really work. Many or our clients' families and helpers are thankful for the opportunity to learn about a future "role" they have been given in a loved one's estate plan, and also to learn about the goals that estate planning helps their loved one accomplish.
